Photography, the experience of encounters, and collaboration are at the core of her artistic practice and research. Editorial objects are a preferred medium for presenting her work. This theoretical and practical workshop offers an introduction to the world of photographic self-publishing. The first part will provide a brief historical overview of publishing, analyzing its forms, conceptualization, and design to draw key insights. In the second part, participants will work on editing, storytelling, sequencing images (storyboard), and designing a layout.
Participants are required to bring a coherent set of photographs along with a project idea. The goal is to create an initial editorial draft, either physical or digital. Additionally, two types of artisanal bookbinding will be introduced.
